Code 39 Pattern Structure

Each Code 39 character consists of 9 elements: 5 bars and 4 spaces. Exactly 3 elements are wide (w) and 6 are narrow (n). The pattern notation shows alternating bars and spaces starting with a bar. For example, nwnnwnwnn means: narrow bar, wide space, narrow bar, narrow space, wide bar, narrow space, wide bar, narrow space, narrow bar.
